Legendary Pokémon Regirock And Celebi Are Coming To Pokémon GO

Not one but two legendary Pokémon are coming to the ever popular augmented reality videogame.

The ever popular augmented reality (AR) mobile title Pokémon Go is once again bring another legendary Pokémon to the title in the form of Regirock. This new additional not only sees yet another powerful Pokémon join the title but also is the final of part of the Regi Trio who the other two – Regice and Registell – have already had their spotlight in the title.

The legendary rock type Pokémon will be available to trainers as a raid battle boss meaning that in order to capture one, trainers will been to deal a lot of damage to it in order to bring its health low enough to ensure a successful catch. Due to be a rock type Pokémon though, Regirock is weak to many different types of attacks such as grass, water, steel, fighting, and even ground-based moves. This legendary Pokémon will be available until September 20th and be available in raids, so make sure to get ready for long battle.

Elsewhere in the world of Pokémon Go, players will be able to catch another legendary Pokémon as the one-of-a-kind Celebi returns to the title also. In order to capture Celebi, developer Niantic mentioned in their announcement post that trainers will need to complete a number of tasks to be able to obtain it. The details on what the required steps will be are slim but they can be started once players have completed the third round of field research for the legendary Pokémon Mew.

Celebi was available once before during the Pokémon Go Fest 2018 as a reward for some of the activities there. Should a trainer already have the Pokémon from then they will be awarded with candy for completing the new set of challenges. Celebi will be made available to trainers from August 20th so make sure to stock up on items in order to be ready to complete all the challenges.

Earlier this month Niantic suggested that they would be adding PvP to Pokémon Go at a later point as well. With two legendary Pokémon to catch and new features on their way, Pokémon Go is continuing to be as popular as ever.
