New Deal With See Alexandra Palace Events Brought To The MelodyVR Platform

A new partnership agreement will offer more content to MelodyVR users.

EVR Holdings PLC have announced that they have struck an exclusive multi-year partnership deal with London’s Alexandra Place deliver virtual reality (VR) content. The deal will see EVR Holdings’ MelodyVR subsidiary work with Ally Pally to bring virtual access to selected live events at the historic events and entertainment venue. This would mean that viewers would be able to enjoy a range of events within VR as those they were at the venue in person.

With the deal, users are already able to experience the Chainsmokers’ sold-out concert from earlier this year with more exclusive VR content from Alexandra Palace expected to be added to the MelodyVR platform in the near future. This means that users will be able to enjoy a much wider range of content on the platform over time as MelodyVR brings more variety to their offerings.

“In advance of our interim financial statements, I’m pleased to announce another exclusive partnership with a globally recognised venue,” said MelodyVR chief executive Anthony Matchett. “I look forward to announcing further significant venue partners in due course and to providing an additional, more comprehensive update for our shareholders, summarising MelodyVR’s recent successes, as well as our near-term and long-term corporate objectives shortly.”

This announcement comes shortly after a similar agreement was reached with NEC Group last week. It is worth noting that, as reported by proactiveinvestors that EVR Holdings shares went down almost 3% to 7.4p (GBP) in late-morning trade on Wednesday earlier this week following the announcement. Though more content offerings for users is a plus, it will be interesting to see how their rapid expansion of new deals continues to impact their share price.

Alexandra Palace commercial director Lucy Fenner added: “In the last 12 months we’ve seen a record-breaking growth in concert attendances but now, through this partnership, even more people will be able to experience the magic of a gig at Alexandra Palace as well as introducing this iconic venue to new audiences around the world.”
