TIDAL artists will soon be coming to VR.

With Facebook Connect this week viewable on Oculus Venues the company is continuing to push the app as the go to source for live events for its virtual reality (VR) platform. To further facilitate this process Oculus has announced a partnership with music streaming service TIDAL to bring live, immersive performances to Oculus Quest.

Oculus Venues has been around for a couple of years, seeing big-name artists like Offset, Lewis Capaldi, Post Malone and Wiz Khalifa perform. With this new partnership, TIDAL will be able to provide exclusive performances for members and nonmembers alike.

With the first immersive concert coming by the end of 2020, those in Venues will get a front-row seat. Additionally, the performances will also be stream in 2D video via the TIDAL app.

“At a time when live-streamed performances are seen as the new norm, TIDAL’s partnership with Oculus provides music lovers an elevated concert experience with more interaction and dimension than past live streams.
