Personal jetpacks are the future, right? Being able to strap into one of those handy gizmos and fly off on a carefree adventure. Whilst that might not be the case in real life, for those who do want to jet off Tourism Infinity’s Jetpack Vacation could be the next best thing when it launches later this year.
Designed as a pick-up-and-play virtual reality (VR) jetpacking videogame for all ages. With a pair of handheld jetpacks, players will be able to fly, dive, and shoot their way through a collection of mini-games – or excursions as Tourism Infinity likes to call them – including Target Practice, Jetpack Soccer, and Jetpack Racing.
Supporting both single-player and multiplayer, in Target Practice players have to race around a tropical island shooting as many targets as possible and score the most points. Jetpack Soccer is an even more fast and frantic version of the sport, whilst Jetpack Racing challenges players to fly through a shifting obstacle course.
Or simply take it easy and explore the sunny paradise with those very useful jetpack hands, with plenty of iconic landmarks to discover and hidden pathways.
At the moment, Jetpack Vacation is in open beta. All you need to do to join and get a free Steam key is head on over to the Jetpack Vacation Discord server.
Jetpack Vacation will support Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Valve Index and Windows Mixed Reality headsets when it arrives on 20th October 2021, retailing for $9.99 USD. Check out the first trailer below and for further updates from Tourism Infinity, keep reading VRFocus.
